Rajesh Jais

Rajesh Jais is an accomplished Indian film actor and theatre artist with a career spanning over three decades. A graduate of the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi, Jais made his mark in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances across television, film, theatre, and advertisements. He gained widespread recognition with his role as Nanu in the landmark Indian TV show Shanti (1994), which is known as the first daily soap in India. Over the years, Jais has been part of numerous popular TV serials, including Sorry Meri Lorry, Zanjeeren, Trikaal, Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Du, Chacha Choudhary, Kagaar, Shastri Sisters, and Dishaayen, among others. His acting prowess has also earned him roles in improv-based series like Manch Masala (a show based on Whose Line Is It Anyway). In addition to television, Rajesh Jais has appeared in various successful films. Some of his notable appearances are in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, Airlift, Raazi, Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkar, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Mili. His performances in both mainstream films and smaller projects have earned him the admiration of viewers. Jais has also gained recognition for his role in web series such as Pataallok, Panchayat, Rudrakal, Jehanabad, Scam 92 (where he played the role of an SBI Manager), and Rana Naidu (where he portrayed O B Mahajan on Netflix). In the realm of theatre, he is known for performing as the Narrator and Sangtarash in the Indian Broadway-style musical Mughal-E-Azam, which has toured internationally. Alongside his acting career, Rajesh Jais has featured in over 60 advertisements for major national and international brands like Samsung, Maruti, Bajaj Capital, Whirlpool, Hyundai, Reliance Big, and more.
